A TEENAGER cyclist who fell 15ft off Teignmouth sea wall spent three hours in the water before being spotted by a dog walker. It was high tide when the 17- year-old lad plunged into the sea while cycling home from a party at about 4.20am. He was treated for hypothermia and bruising after his ordeal near Spray Point, between Teignmouth and Holcombe. A woman walking her dog spotted the teenager clinging to steps at about 7.15am on Saturday. She made an emergency call from her mobile phone. The Teignmouth lifeboat, The Two Annes, was launched and crewmen recovered the injured youngster and wrapped him in blankets. The crew returned to the lifeboat station where a paramedic team was waiting. They assessed his condition and took him to hospital. Lifeboat spokesman Tony Watson said: 'The lad was so lucky that it was high tide, otherwise his injuries could have been a lot worse.'
