POLICE and paramedics were called to a property on the Buckland estate in Newton Abbot to deal with a disturbance involving a distressed woman.

They responded to a 999 call at 11am today (thurs) in the Raleigh Road area.

A police spokesman said officers took no further action after attending the scene where concern had been expressed for the woman’s welfare.

Instead they left the matter in the hands of paramedics and health officials.
