POLICE were called to Newton Abbot’s almshouses after a bust-up involving residents.
Officers went to Mackrell Terrace off Wolborough Street to intervene when a verbal exchange between occupants overheated.
Police, including a dog team, played peacemakers after the alarm was raised just after 7pm on Wednesday.
A police spokeswoman said both parties would be spoken to later by officers.
