POLICE in Newton Abbot are appealing for help to identify graffiti vandals.

Officers have seen the tag used at several locations including on vehicles.

They have used social media to sent a direct message to the culprits to hand themselves in.

The stark message from Newton Abbot police says: ‘We don't know who you are yet, although we have CCTV of you, we also don't know what this says.

‘If you are looking for attention I can tell you that you won’t get it from anyone except us.

‘But what we do have is a very particular set of skills, skills acquired over a very long career, skills that make us a nightmare for people like you who cause criminal damage.

‘If you put that spray can down now, we can arrange an interview, we will not look for you, we will not pursue you, but if you don't make contact, we will look for you, we will find you and we will arrest you.’
