POLICE in Newton Abbot have appealed for information after a man allegedly exposed himself in the grounds of Highweek Parish Church.

The incident is said to have happened at approximately 8.45am on Tuesday, July 29.

Police received a report from a woman that a man had been alone and performing an indecent act.

He is described as white, in his early thirties, approximately 5ft 8in tall of athletic and toned build, tanned and with short dark hair.

He was wearing a plain black T-shirt and black lace-up boots. He was described as having the appearance of a workman or similar.  

A force spokesman said: 'This location is popular with dog walkers and there were likely to be several people in the area at the time of the incident. 

'Officers are hoping to speak to any members of the public who saw this man either prior to or after the incident as they may be able to assist with their enquiries. '
