POLICE probing a daring Christmas Day ram raid in Totnes have confirmed that the attack may be linked to at least two others in Teignbridge.

Detectives say they can not rule out a connection between the South Hams crime and similar offences in Dawlish 19 months ago and one at Chagford only last month.

They believe that similarity in execution in each case is enough to justify roping the matters together.

In each case a gang of at least three struck in the early hours using a chain attached to a stolen car to tow away shop cash machines.
