TWO mopeds have been seized by police and two teenagers arrested on suspicion of committing driving offences in the Newton Abbot Kingsteignton area.

Police report they were called at around 3pm yesterday, Tuesday, following a failure to stop of a number of mopeds in the Newton Road area of Kingsteignton.

A spokesperson said: ‘Police searches took place along with support from the police helicopter and police search dogs in Kingsteignton and Newton Abbot to find those involved.

‘Two Lexmoto mopeds were located and seized by officers.

‘A 17-year-old local male was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failure to stop and being in possession of a class-A drug.

‘A 16-year-old local male was arrested on suspicion of driving offences.

‘Both have since been released on police bail until February 16, 2023.

Police inquiries continue into this matter.’
