POLICE in Teignmouth will be sharing important rural safety advice at an upcoming event in the town.

The Teignmouth and Dawlish Rural Neighbourhood Team will be joined by the Rural Affairs Team for ‘Teignmouth Services Day’ on Monday, July 27, at The Den.

Visitors will have the opportunity to speak with officers and learn more about issues affecting the countryside, including livestock worrying and fly-tipping.

With the summer tourist season underway and more people enjoying rural areas, police are reminding dog owners to help protect livestock by keeping dogs on leads and under control when walking near animals.

The event, which begins at 10am, is a chance for residents and visitors to meet local teams, ask questions, and find out more about how everyone can help keep the countryside safe and enjoyable.
