A RESURGENCE of illegal taxi trading in and around Newton Abbot is about to be tackled head-on by police who warned offenders this week: 'We know who you are and we are coming to get you.'

Officers are collecting intelligence about the culprits who are breaking the law and endangering lives by running their own uninsured cut-price cabbie network across Teignbridge.

And the problem is said to be spilling over into Torquay, where a similar clampdown could be on the cards after consultations between police in the two towns.
