TWO Conservatives have been kicked out of their Kenn Valley seats after Lib Dems took full control.

Tories Kevin Lake and John Goodey, both ex-senior Executive members, have been sent home by Lib Dems Alison Foden, Charles Nuttall and Andy Swain.

Outgoing Kevin Lake said the wave of Tory departures were a ‘backlash’ of the shambolic Brexit saga in Westminster.

Victorious Cllr Foden said: ‘I am very excited, but also very nervous. I am pretty shell-shocked.’

She said her plans for the district authority included working on public transport in rural areas.

Andy Swain said he was feeling great after the result.
