PATRICIA M DANIEL, deputy hon appeal organiser, on behalf of FRANCIS TOULCHER, hon appeal organiser, writes: On behalf of the Newton Abbot Royal British Legion I would like to thank all collectors and helpers with this year's Poppy Appeal. Especially I would like to thank the ATC Cadets and the Army Cadets for their wonderful help in collecting; also the many people collecting in the street, including in the car parks of Trago Mills, Sainsbury's and Asda. We must not forget the villages in our area, ie Abbotskerswell, Bovey Tracey, Broadhempston, Denbury, Ipplepen, Ogwell and Kingskerswell, which helped raise our total considerably. Last but not least, to the public who gave so generously. Our total to date is £29,168.50 for the area, with more money still to come in. The officers and members of Newton Abbot Royal British Legion are so grateful to you all for enabling us to carry on our many ways of helping ex-service men and women and their families. May I take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy Christmas and peaceful New Year.
