POPULAR Newton Abbot businessman Frank Wood is set to be laid to rest tomorrow.

Mr Wood, who owned the town’s Bar 7 nightclub, died peacefully in his sleep at home on December 8.

The 64-year-old ran the successful watering hole in Market Street for some eight years.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Abbey Road, Torquay, at 11am.

The celebration will be followed by a private cremation.

Newton Abbot MP Anne Marie Morris said: ‘Frank was a man who was well respected in the community and will be much missed.

‘Bar 7 added something different and special and I sincerely hope it will continue.’
