A MULTIPLE sclerosis sufferer who fell from her motorised scooter as she drove down Exeter Hill, Teignmouth, has sent out a heartfelt thank-you to one of the good samaritans who came to her aid.

Joyce Kent found herself lying in the road, unable to move and with traffic passing just inches from her after her scooter tipped over at the bottom of Exeter Hill on Saturday.

She wasn't in danger long – a passing motorist and a pedestrian quickly came to her assistance.

Mrs Kent was soon safely back on her machine and, although the driver then had to leave, the pedestrian stayed with her to ensure she made it safely back to her Gloucester Road home.

'I was somewhat bemused at the time and the man disappeared before I could thank him adequately,' said Mrs Joyce. 'I have no idea who this good samaritan was – I just hope he reads this and knows how much I appreciate what he did.

'I felt so vulnerable lying there in the road with the traffic flashing by me.

'I could not get up and without the help of those two kind people I really don't know what I would have done.'
