ASHBURTON's week of jollity reaches its peak tomorrow when the town turns out to cheer on its carnival procession.
The annual event was given a flying start on Saturday with a fete at the Recreation Ground, which linked with the town's Armed Forces Day celebration.
Carnival queen Katrina Adams and her attendants were at the forefront of a small procession headed by the town's Royal British Legion standard carried by Kath Pugh and escorted by Jack Barclay and Peter Morley.
