TEIGNMOUTH NCI Watchtower volunteers have a new filing cabinet and provisions, thanks to a donation from the Co-op. The retailer came forward after burglars stripped the watchtower at Eastcliff earlier this year. The Co-op has also allowed in-store collections – the last one raised a total of £146.49. The watchtower has received many donations from groups and organisations in the town. The generosity means that security has been upgraded and stolen items have been replaced. Coastwatch works closely with sea safety groups and mans the tower daily. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact membership officer Ian Radford on 07850 527033.
