HOMES in Kingsteignton have been included in flood defence improvements worth £2.5million the Environment Agency has announced.
Due to be carried out between 2018 and 2021, it is estimated the work will protect 530 properties in the town and neighbouring Newton Abbot although the details have yet to be revealed.
The improvements announced this week are among 162 schemes across the south west and 1,400 nationwide.
In total, the government has earmarked £2.3 billion for the programme.
