A tender of £27,249 from Bridge Civil Engineering Ltd has been approved by Teignbridge Council for footpath resurfacing work in Beach Way, Dawlish Warren.
Cllr Ann Rowland told Teignbridge Council Excutive Committee on Monday that it was a shame that while work on the footpath was going ahead, the car park could not be surfaced as well.
The executive was told that there had been contributions from trades towards the works in Beach Way.
but it was hoped that work would be carried out on the car park soon.
