TEIGNMOUTH Regatta continued the fun where the carnival left off.
It was a seamless switch from one to the other, and although the regatta was much lower key, spectators and competitors still had plenty to smile about.
There was free entertainment all around the Den, the beaches, the estuary and the open sea, and kiddies especially revelled in the sports and various activities.
One of the highlights which drew a large crowd was the raft race from the back beach. It's an old favourite and attracted large crowds to watch about a dozen teams construct rafts of all shapes and sizes, paddle them out to Salty and back, and then take them apart again.
There were quite a few spills and thrills along the way, and once again Teignmouth proved that it is tops for staging and keeping alive these traditional seaside events.
