INCOMING Storm Brian has forced CrossCountry to cancel some of its train services tonight.

The rail company has announced it is suspending its Voyager journeys between Newton Abbot and Exeter because of the predicted weather.

Services will be out of action from 7.15pm tonight until 11pm.

A CrossCountry spokesman said: ‘A weather warning has been issued for the sea wall at Dawlish tonight.

‘As a result, CrossCountry’s Voyager trains are unable to run between Newton Abbot and Exeter.

‘CrossCountry customers affected by this can complete their journey using Great Western Railway services, which will be unaffected by this.’
