A new training package to improve the way rape victims are dealt with has been launched by Devon and Cornwall Police.The programme has been developed in partnership with victims, specialists and rape trauma experts and will be targeted at police officers and civilian staff most likely to be the first point of contact for someone reporting a rape.Rape victim Anne-Marie James, who now campaigns for more rape victims to come forward, praised the programme. She said she was particularly impressed at the accurate way the victim's point of view is portrayed.
