DOG owners in Teignbridge who don't pick up their pet's pooh are getting the message in red paint.
In a district-wide crackdown on dog fouling Teignbridge Council is giving a fair warning to irresponsible owners by writing messages on pavements.
Council staff are using a chalk-based temporary paint to stencil messages in areas where dog mess is causing problems, spelling out the warning that wardens are watching.
So far the clean-it-up tool has been used in Chudleigh, Moretonhampstead and Teignmouth by the council's community environment wardens to highlight the problem where dog fouling has become an issue and to try to deter it happening again.
