A SHOPLIFTING suspect has been released without charge after being arrested in Newton Abbot last Friday.

Police say there was insufficient evidence against the man detained in Wolborough Street.

He was suspected of taking a model kit from a shop in Queen Street 24 hours earlier.

Police and security staff arrested him after he was picked up on town centre CCTV cameras.
