Children from a Newton Abbot primary school have hidden remembrance stones around the town to spread the message of gratitude and remembrance.

Pupils at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School decorated the stones as part of their Remembrance Day activities where they reflected on the importance of remembering those who have served to secure freedom and peace.

After designing and painting the stones the children were able to bring them home to place in the community so they can be found by others.

‘These stones are a small but meaningful way to help spread the message of gratitude and remembrance and peace beyond the classroom,’ a spokesperson from St Joseph’s explained.
