ONE of England's most renowned romantic painters is to be the subject of a village society's latest talk.

'J. M. W. Turner in the West Country' is the latest talk hosted by the Lustleigh Society.

Helmed by leading expert Professor Sam Smiles, the talk will explore how Turner, an English Romantic painter, printmaker and watercolorist who has active in the late 1700s and into the 1800s, captured the charm of Devon's vast and varied landscapes.

The talk is an extra one in the society's programme, which had been postponed from last year.

Lustleigh Village Hall will be open from 7pm on Wednesday, March 8, for a 7.30pm start.

£5 entry for guests, society members enter for free and light refreshments will be avaliable.
