A RESCUE operation is currently underway as a women in her 20’s has reportedly fallen from a ledge at Chudleigh Rocks.

Devon Air Ambulance has landed close to the scene accompanied by ambulance crews and Dartmoor Search and Rescue

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: ‘Emergency services were called at 11.30am today to Chudleigh Rocks, following reports that a woman had fallen and sustained a potentially serious injury.

‘Emergency services including, Police, Ambulance and the Dartmoor Rescue Group remain at the scene carrying out a technical rescue of the injured woman.

‘The incident remains ongoing at this time.

‘The casualty will be flown to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth with a head injury, thought to be serious.’
