CHEERS! A Cancer Research UK coffee morning at The Priory in Abbotskerswell was just £4 short of raising £400 for the charity.

The bash, supported by Priory residents and other visitors, included a sale of home-made cakes, Christmas cards and a raffle.

September’s annual village knit-in raised an impressive £870.­
