RESTORATION work at a much loved and much frequented country park in Teignbridge has been given the green light.

The Restoring Stover Park Project has been given the ‘permission to start’ from the Nation Lottery Heritage Fund.

Following a two-year development phase, Devon County Council, which owns Stover Country Park, has been awarded a £2.1m grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) to deliver the ‘Restoring Stover Park’ project.

And now the authority will start undertaking the work agreed in the development phase.

Via its Facebook page, Stover Country Park said: ‘An immense thank you to all the people, partners, stakeholders, volunteers, consultants and staff who have worked on this project to get it where it is today.’
