DEVELOPERS bidding to build new homes on a site in Kingskerswell have submitted revised plans.
The Chris Howard Group revealed proposals for the site at Aller Road last year but the number of properties has been reduced from 10 to nine for the open market and there will be three affordable homes, with one detached four-bedroom property and two, one-bedroom accessible and adaptable flats.
The original plans were to provide mid-ranged and low cost housing to comply with the local authority land allocation for residential housing in the area. The 10, now nine, three bedroom properties would be with integral garages providing family accommodation and generous rear gardens.
Reaction from residents has been positive, developers say, as the site is currently vacant and poorly landscaped.
The provision of a wider road and improved traffic measures has been welcomed to improve the safety of all users.
Kingskerswell parish council has previously said it has no objections although there have been concerns from one resident about flood risk and the potential for Aller Road to become a worse rat run.
