PLANS to convert a former Chinese takeaway in Kingskerswell into an office have been submitted.

Submitted by local construction company, Charteroak, the application - reference 25/01984/FUL - is seeking permission to convert Chan’s Takeaway.

Teignbridge District Council are due to make decision by March 11.

And if approved, Charteroak intend to carry out extensive refurbishment work, creating an office space at the Torquay Road premises.

Charteroak was formed in 2016 to ‘provide a complete design, manage, build and maintenance solution across the South West’, the company’s website says.

Originally based in Newton Abbot, the company purchased a commercial property in Kingskerswell three years later, giving it a new permanent base.
