A TEIGNBRIDGE rowing club could soon have a new home on the banks of the River Teign.

River Teign Rowing Club has applied to Teignbridge Council to build the new facility at Polly Steps, pictured.

The proposed boathouse would provide space for the club to store and maintain its boats, as well as facilities for rowers to use rowing machines and take a break with hot drinks.

Toilets would also be provided, while the plans include a storage container for use by Teign Corinthian Yacht Club.

Teignbridge Council are expected to make a decision by November 9.
