ROAD closures have been put in place following a collision on Brunel Road this afternoon, Wednesday, July 9, as a person is taken to hospital.

Officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a motorbike and a van on Brunel Road, Newton Abbot at around 12.20pm today, Wednesday, July 9.

One person sustained injuries not considered to be life threatening or life changing.

They have been taken to hospital for treatment.

Emergency services remain at the scene and the incident is ongoing.

Local road closures have been put in place and are expected to remain so for some time, Devon & Cornwall Police have said.
