POLICE are hunting a road-rage motorcyclist who deliberately ran down a motorist he had been antagonising between Buckfastleigh and Ashburton.

The casualty had left his car and was standing in the road to remonstrate with the reckless rider when he was knocked over by the offender on the old A38 about one-and-a-half miles out of Buckfastleigh towards Pridhamsleigh Cross.

The victim – in his early 20s and from Ashburton – was struck in the chest with such an impact that he fell to the ground.

The culprit then rode off towards Buckfastleigh with another motorcyclist who had also been involved in aggravating the motorist minutes earlier.
