A spectacular evening is promised for Music in the Park, at Stover School on Friday, July 4.
This is the first event of its kind and has been organised by Teignmouth and Bovey Tracey Rotary Clubs, and all stops are out to ensure it will be a memorable night.
Music will be provided by the Devon Youth Orchestra, which will be conducted by Peter Painter. The orchestra will play a wide range of music which will include music from shows and light classical.
Support will be from Junked-Up Newt, from Newton Abbot, with its unusual collection of instruments made from household junk.
The public is being encouraged to bring picnics. Wine and champagne will be on sale to make it a night to remember.
The evening will be rounded off in grand style with a spectacular firework display.
Jim Putz, from Bovey Tracey Rotary Club, is excited about the event. He said, 'It will be great fun, and we are getting a lot of support. We have a lovely venue for Music in the Park and it will be nice to hear all the music.'
'I am delighted that the two rotary clubs are coming together to do something for the district.
Tickets cost £10, and can be bought from Teignbridge Information Centres and Bradleys Estate Agents.
The Rotary Clubs are donating all the proceeds to the Children's Hospice South West, and Macmillan Nurses.
