HOLLYWOOD'S hottest ticket, War Horse, is getting a charity screening in South West Devon, thanks to the Rotary Club of Ashburton/Buckfastleigh and Apollo Cinemas.

Steven Spielberg's epic, partly filmed on Dartmoor, will have its regional premiere at the Apollo Cinema, Torbay, on Monday, January 9, at 7.30pm, four days ahead of its national release and just one day after the UK Royal premiere.

It is a story of love and courage in which a young Devon farmworker braves the trenches of the first world war in an effort to find his beloved colt Joey, which has been sold to the cavalry.
