The town's carnival royalty proudly display many of the 36 trophies won with their float decorated on the theme of the coronation.
Determined to get every detail correct in the Queen's Golden Jubilee year, they even wrote to Buckingham Palace for guidance.
The gown worn by Ashburton's Queen is believed to be an exact replica of the one worn by the Queen at her coronation.
