The Princess Royal is due to open Hannahs at Seale-Hayne later this month.

The Dame Hannah Rogers Trust acquired the former agricultural college on the outskirts of Newton Abbot last year.

It is converting the site into a training campus for young disabled adults, has opened a coffee shop and announced plans to build 200 homes to help fund the project.

Chief executive Bronwen Hewitt said: 'We look forward to showing Her Royal Highness the unique community we are creating for young people with physical disabilities and learning difficulties and to introducing her to some of our inspirational young people.

'We are also particularly delighted as Princess Anne visited Dame Hannah's in Ivybridge in 1988 and more recently in 2008, meeting some of the young people from Dame Hannah's on a visit to the Watermark Centre in Ivybridge.

'At Hannahs at Seale-Hayne we are continuing the long tradition of innovation at Dame Hannah's.

'We are determined that young people and adults with disabilities should enjoy life to the full in the same way that we all wish to and they desperately need something like this.'

The Princess Royal will visit on October 20.
