THE Bovey Tracey couple who last month each won a bronze medal in the world lifesaving championships in Adelaide, Australia, have scooped a host of medals in the Great Britain National Championships in Pond Forge, Sheffield.

Ian and Sue Hutchings, together with youngsters from the Bovey Tracey Lifesaving Club, had an incredible competition representing the south west region.

Winning three golds and a silver, Ian retained the men's masters in an event in which there are four disciplines – an aquatic incident, a life support initiative, a timed line throw and a timed swim and tow.

Sue captured the ladies' masters winning two golds and a bronze.
