The developer behind plans for 343 homes on the edge of Newton Abbot have revealed the possible look and layout of the new estate.

Persimmon Homes (South West) has submitted details of its project at Mile End which it has said will be called Lemon Grove.

Outline planning permission has already been granted despite widespread opposition from individuals and groups such as Highweek Against Rural Destruction.

Now Persimmon has to convince Teignbridge Council it has developed a scheme that will suit the area.

The 30 acre site, which straddles the Ashburton Road, is currently farmland.
