Last night the streets of Newton Abbot were packed with an array of sea creatures.
Visitors flocked to the town centre to witness the town’s annual festive lantern parade.
Town development manager Sally Henley said: ’The theme for the lantern parade was under the sea, which seemed apt as there was plenty of water around.
’However a bit of damp doesn’t deter shoppers who all came out and supported our second late night shopping event.
’There was a lovely atmosphere in town and I am grateful to the musicians and performers who did their thing brilliantly despite the rain and to shoppers for coming out and supporting their local traders.’
