MOLE Valley Farmers has launched its Country Heroes campaign to celebrate those who have selflessly supported their communities by going above and beyond and helped others with the challenges faced during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Twelve deserving members of the community across the South West will receive an entire Country Christmas. Mole Valley Farmers has a store in Newton Abbott.

Motivated by the difficulty many people in agricultural and rural communities have suffered during the pandemic – whether through loss of income, isolation and loneliness, uncertainties and insecurities about the future or, sadly for some, loved ones having been lost, Mole Valley Farmers have established these awards to say a big thank you to our unsung rural heroes.

They are offering individuals the chance to nominate those who have endured difficult times to help others; ordinary people who have become the heartbeat of their local communities in the face of adversity.

Jack Cordery, chief executive officer for Mole Valley Farmers, said: ‘Mole Valley Farmers have been committed to supporting agricultural and rural communities for 60 years, during this time we have learnt to appreciate how important supporting one another is and how much we really are all in this together.

‘With 2020 being one of the most challenging years for us all, we felt it important to shine a light on the kind acts and selfless goodwill of our Country Heroes. To recognise and thank our pride of the countryside.’

Mole Valley Farmers are calling out to communities across the South West to nominate their local Country Heroes.

Nominations can be made online at https://www.moleonline.com/countryheroes or visit Facebook. Voting is open to everyone and the nomination window runs from now until Friday, December 4.
