TEIGNBRIDGE Council wants to know what the public thinks about the controversial scheme to convert a field at Bishopsteignton into football pitches.
Youth soccer teams in the Teignmouth area have been struggling to find somewhere to play ever since Broadmeadow was put out of bounds after contamination from the old rubbish tip.
The council bought Michaels' Field adjoining the main A381 and has planning permission for sports use, including a changing pavilion and car parking.
Local footballers are urging the authority to get on with the project, but some villagers have objected.
