A SELFIE in pen and ink by Chris Pitman was the winner of the Teignmouth Art Society’s July online public vote.

The society’s subject for the month was Portrait / Figure in their Facebook online Virtual Gallery .

Chris produced a self portrait – a pen and ink selfie coloured in with ‘Sharpies’.

Art society member Keith Bowcock said: ‘There were 26 entries which were so interesting with the styles and subjects being so varied.

‘August sees the theme Room with a View so this should be equally fascinating to see what the members come up with.

‘We ask the public to please continue to cast their votes for their favourites on the Teignmouth Art Society Facebook website as it can give a lot of encouragement to all upcoming artists .

‘You can see many more works of art now from the members in their new Art Gallery @ Serenity in Teignmouth (at the rear of the Post Office).

‘You are able to browse in comfort using the COVID guidelines at the entrance.’
