A SHOPLIFTER who admitted four charges, three of them in Newton Abbot, has been remanded on bail.

Nicholas Robert Lock, aged 37, of Upton Road, Torquay, was charged with stealing bottles of spirits worth £203 from Tesco in Newton Abbot on May 26 last year.

He is also charged with taking four bottles of perfume, worth £390, from Austins in Newton Abbot on October 3 last year.

Lock further admitted stealing a bottle of Gentleman Jack Whiskey, worth £35, from Tesco stores in Newton Abbot on June 27 last year.

He admitted he took bottles of spirits plus Doritos and coleslaw from Morrisons supermarket in Paignton on May 11 last year.

He was remanded on bail until August 17 by South and West Devon Magistrates' Court

for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
