BLUE Peter badges are not dished out lightly. So it is quite an achievement for a Teignmouth brother and sister to be awarded two each by the popular, long-running BBC programme. 'We are all thrilled about it. I think receiving two each is very unusual,' said proud mum Sheena Proctor, of Charlemont Road. Jay, nine, was given his badges for emailing a review of a Blue Peter programme, and submitting a poster about litter dropping. Sister Lauryn, 11, earned her badges for a poem about her favourite football team, Leeds United, and a poster promoting the environment. The badges hold pride of place in the family household and are the envy of friends and other youngsters at their school, Hazeldown Primary, Teignmouth.
