FIREFIGHTERS from Buckfastleigh were called in when a car aquaplaned on rain water on the A38 just after 7.30am on Tuesday.
The accident blocked one lane of the southbound dual carriageway between Lower Dean and Rattery.
The dark blue BMW had skidded on the water but the occupants of the vehicle escaped unhurt.
Firefighters made the vehicle safe using small tools.
