A DEVON skydive company that held a tandem jump in which two people were killed has announced it will cease trading.
Based at Dunkeswell Aerodrome, Sky Dive Buzz informed customers this week that ‘directors have been required to make the difficult decision to cease operations with immediate effect’.
It comes around a month after two people - Belinda Taylor and Adam Harrison - died after their parachutes failed to open during a tandem jump.
Authorities, including British Skydiving, are conducting investigations into the incident.
Sky Dive Buzz’s website no longer works, nor does its telephone number.
A quick Google search says the company is ‘permanently closed’.
A letter sent to customers on Thursday, July 24, reads: ‘It is with regret that the directors have been required to make the difficult decision to cease operations with immediate effect.
‘It is proposed that the company be placed into compulsory liquidation in due course.
‘The Official Receiver should be in contact with creditors and customers to provide an update regarding the closure of the company and the proposed liquidation proceedings’.
