UNLESS an 11th hour miracle is forthcoming, it looks like last orders for Abbrook Park Sports and Social Club, Kingsteignton.
The club is set to close when time is called tomorrow after a £27,000 Teignbridge Council rates bill and poorer than hoped for sales during the current economic climate.
But clay company Sibelco, which owns the club, says talks will continue until the last minute to see if a solution can be found.
It was against a background of financial struggle that saw the then Watts, Blake, Bearne Sports and Social Club, first shut its doors in 2001.
The bars, fittings and furnishings were stripped out and sold, and the windows boarded up, but it reopened in May 2004 after volunteers spent three months restoring it.
