A DAWLISH youth project leader has urged parents to take advantage of the many facilities and activities the town has to offer young people.

Paul Scott, project leader of the Christian youth organisation the Teenbridge Project, was responding to the police action to deal with an end of term beach party held at Dawlish Warren.

Up to 60 youngsters, several as young as 13, were found drinking alcohol on the beach and a team of police officers and PCSOs had to call in paramedics to treat several teenagers who were vomiting and almost unconscious.
