The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee kicked off in spectacular style at the Ice Factory Studio Theatre Teignmouth this week with A Right Royal Variety Show!

Created and performed by Teignmouth Players and featuring some of the best locally grown variety show artists.

A take on the Royal Variety Command performances over the 70 year reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth ll, the show boasts an eclectic mix of over 20 entertaining acts.

Where tributes to Norman Wisdom, Frank Spencer and Tommy Cooper magic, sits well along side, hilarious standup comedy and light opera.

Nods to the Eurovision song contest, The Beatles, Robbie Williams and the Jackson 5 all make entertaining group numbers.

The West End Musical features strongly with some wonderful individual performances from shows such as Cabaret, Miss Saigon, Wicked, Hamilton as well as some big hitters, where we are treated to a sensational excerpt from Chicago and a spectacular finale from Six.

A Royal Variety Show would not be the same without Vera Lynn getting an airing and the show does not disappoint with an audience sing along ending.

A Right Royal variety Show Is a magnificent evening’s of entertainment with stunning lighting, videography and costumes.

Created by Steve Wreford (director), Angela Mayo-Carrol (assistant director) and choreographers Carmen Louise Tyler and Emma Firth, this show makes for a fitting tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth on this milestone anniversary. Some tickets are still available.
