THE nomination process for this year's Teignbridge Sports Personality Awards is under way.

The public is invited to nominate a volunteer, athlete, coach or team it believes deserve recognition for their services to/acheivements in sport or health in the district between April 1, 2009, and March 31 this year.

There are 13 different categories and the winner of last year's top accolade, the Senior Sportsman of the Year, was Newton Abbot bob skeleton star David Swift.

The presentation ceremony – the Mid-Devon Advertiser sponsors the awards along with FireWatch, API Communications and Palm FM ­– will again be held at Dawlish Warren's Langstone Cliff Hotel, on Friday, November 26.
